The game focuses on two different fronts: you will have to travel to Russia where a civil war has began and you must kill the president of a country in the Middle East that has anti-Western views and threatens the United States of America. For example you play as a president who's being executed by a firing squad. You will also take the role of other different characters whose missions are quite short and the gameplay here is pretty linear. You will have take on the role of different characters throughout the game: British John 'Soap' MacTavish, Sergeant Paul Jackson, Captain John Price. The first-person shooter was a real success as multiplayer maps and mods are still being developed and played by an active community. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the forth installment in the CoD series and the first Modern Warfare to see the light of day.
